Bay State Plumbing & Heating started in 2003 out of a single van in Stoneham. Mike Doherty had spent eleven years working for other people's shops and got tired of quoting jobs he knew were padded. The pitch was simple and it hasn't changed: tell the customer the real price before you start, then charge that price.

Twenty-plus years later we run six trucks and still answer the emergency line ourselves. Every technician on your property is licensed or a registered apprentice working directly under one, and every one of them wears shoe covers in your house without being asked.

We hold a Massachusetts Master Plumber license (MA License #PL-31942) along with full liability and workers' compensation insurance. Repairs carry a one-year labor warranty, installations carry two years on top of whatever the manufacturer provides. If something we fixed fails, we come back and make it right at no charge.

We work in Malden, Melrose, Medford, Stoneham & Everett. That radius is deliberate. It's the area we can reach inside an hour on an emergency call, and we would rather tell you honestly that you're out of range than take the job and show up tomorrow.
